The report of the demise of the King of Akure (King Adebiyi Adesida) erupted in the news early morning on Sunday, 1^st of December, 2013.  He was aged 63, he reigned barely over three years hence the great mourning of the people.

According to the Yoruba proverb “The slave died the mother was not informed, a freeborn died, lamentation erupted”, even though the news of the king’s demise ought not to have been announced till seven days after his demise, because of his position in the Society, the news was already on the internet.
