“Lẹhin ọkùnrin tàbi obinrin (ni ayé òde òni) ti ó bá ṣe ori-ire, obinrin tàbi ọkunrin rere wa lẹhin tabi ẹ̀gbẹ rẹ”.  Òwe yi ni a lè fi ṣe àpẹrẹ iṣẹ́ ribiribi ti Olóògbé, Olóyè Hannah Ìdòwú Dideolú ṣe fún Olóògbé Olóyè Ọbáfẹ́mi Awólọ́wọ̀, ògúná gbongbo Òṣèlú ni ilẹ̀ Yorùbá àti fún orilẹ̀ èdè Nigeria.  Nigbati Bàbá mba iṣẹ́ oselu kiri gbogbo àgbáyé, Iyá ló di ilé mú, ti ọkàn Olóògbé Olóyè Ọbáfẹ́mi Awólọ́wọ̀ fi balẹ̀ lati le fi ipò Olóri Òsèlú ṣe iṣẹ́ ribiribi ti ó ṣe.  Titi di ọjọ́ ikú ọkọ rẹ ni ọdún mejidinlọ́gbọ̀n sẹhin, lẹhin igbéyàwó àádọ́ta ọdún, ó ṣe àti lẹhin fún ọkọ rẹ titi di ọjọ́ alẹ́, eyi jẹ àpẹrẹ rere fún gbogbo obinrin.

ENGLISH TRANSLATION

Late Chief Hannah Idowu Dideolu (H.I.D) was born on twenty-five November Two thousand and fifteen, she got married to Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo a prominent Politician on twenty-six, December, Two thousand and fifteen, she departed the world barely two months before her Centenary birthday celebration.

“Behind or beside every successful man or woman (in modern days), there is a good spouse”.  This adage can be used as example of the great support given to her husband, Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, first Premier of Western Region of Nigeria, to enable him carry out the great job that he did.  Till the death of her husband twenty-eight years ago, after fifty years of marriage, she supported her husband till the end, this is exemplary to all women.

Families and friends were preparing for Late Chief H.I.D. Awolowo’s Centenary Birthday when the news of her death on nineteenth day of September, Twenty fifteen, instead, the preparation was converted to funeral arrangement.

President Muhammadu Buhari and other prominent Politicians, Kings and Chiefs, young and old Nigerians joined the family and the children of the deceased on the twenty fifth of November, Twenty fifteen, the day she would have clocked hundred, to give her a befitting final rites.
